Quick PB&J French Toast

  • Ingredients

    10g butter
    16g SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter
    20g strawberry jam
    1 slice (43g) whole-grain bread
    1 large egg
    1/4 cup (60mL) skim milk
    30mL pure maple syrup or pancake syrup

  • Instructions

    1. In 2-cup (500 mL) microwave-safe glass, microwave butter on HIGH (100%) 10 seconds or until melted. Tilt glass to coat sides.
    2. Spread peanut butter and jam evenly on bread. Fold bread in half; cut in half crosswise.
    3. Crack egg into prepared glass measure; add milk. Beat lightly with fork. Press in bread; let stand, turning once, 1 minute or until both sides are soaked.
    4. Cover microwave-safe glass. Microwave on HIGH (100%) 2 minutes or until puffed and egg is thoroughly cooked. Let stand 2 minutes. Turn onto serving plate; drizzle with syrup.
